Donating to Saban Community Clinic through your will or other estate planning vehicle is an effective way to ensure that the Clinic’s services are available to future generations. A planned gift allows you to manage your assets during your lifetime, while taking comfort in the knowledge that you have made a commitment to ensure access to quality affordable health care for all.

Please contact us for more information about any of the options below or to make a planned gift.

* BEQUEST
The straightforward, revocable bequest is the easiest way to demonstrate your commitment to Saban Community Clinic. This approach allows you to provide for your heirs, while designating a portion of your estate to help support the Clinic’s mission. There can be financial incentives for taking this route, designed to help you make an impact on the health and wellbeing of the most vulnerable members of our community.

* CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUST
Charitable Remainder Trusts provide tax benefits in addition to providing an annuity stream of income for you. Most of all, you can have the personal satisfaction of making a major gift towards a cause you hold dear, Saban Community Clinic.

* GIFT ANNUITY
A gift annuity is a simple, contractual agreement between a donor and Saban Community Clinic in which you give assets to the Clinic in exchange for our promise to pay one or two annuitants payments for life.

* CHARITABLE LEAD TRUST
A Charitable Lead Trust is a trust that the estate owner establishes either during life or at death. The income from the trust flows to Saban Community Clinic, typically for a stated number of years. After that period, the assets inside the trust are then distributed to your heirs.

* LIFE INSURANCE
Gifts of Life Insurance are predicated on the assumption that the protection provided by the insurance coverage is not needed by you or your family – giving you a chance to share the wealth! You can name Saban Community Clinic as the primary beneficiary of a life insurance policy, or you can realize immediate tax benefits by making an irrevocable assignment of an insurance policy to Saban Community Clinic. Either way, these dollars will help the Clinic continue to provide health care to all in need.

* IRA
You can make gifts of your IRA either during your lifetime or beyond. These gifts reduce your taxable estate at the same time they fulfill your desire to make a major impact on the health and wellbeing of the most vulnerable members of our community.

It is important to work with an attorney, accountant or other professional advisor to determine the best way to plan your estate. For more information contact the Advancement Department at (323) 330-1670 or afriedman@sabancommunityclinic.org. The Federal Tax ID number for Saban Community Clinic is 95-2539105.

The Saban Community Clinic is accepting donations for prenatal patients.

The Clinic’s comprehensive prenatal program offers medical, dental and psychosocial care, nutritional counseling, parental education classes and assistance in applying for federal programs such as Medi-Cal. Each patient is assigned a Prenatal Case Manager to ensure that the needs of both mother and child are met throughout her pregnancy. Following the delivery, mothers and their new babies can continue to access the Clinic’s services. Products, such as bottles, diapers and baby clothing, are provided to aide in their preparation for parenthood. With limited resources, the knowledge that these much needed products may be made available encourages prenatal patients to fully participate in the program.

To help someone in need, make an in-kind donation of toiletries and new undergarments.

Since the early 90s, thousands of men and women without a place to call home have turned to our community showers. Here, they are treated with dignity and respect as they find hope and the strength to start-over. More than 60 people walk in to shower each day, and are provided with hygiene products, socks and underwear.
